The ultimate vision for Tulsa Project Impact is to complete a logical process by which all potential risks, natural and man-made, are assessed, prioritized , planned, and then mitigated using private and public partnerships and resources.
The Steering Committee is responsible for overall oversight of project activities including, but not limited to, partnership development, administration, organization, and funding.
Committees have been established within the organizational structure to plan, coordinate, and implement specific project activities. These standing committees are composed of government officials, business professionals, non-profit organizations, citizens, and other partners with a shared interest in making Tulsa more disaster-resistant.
Mission: To examine all possible voluntary construction practices that may increase the structural ability of all buildings to help withstand natural and man-made disasters. Provide members of the construction industry with options and education regarding disaster resistant construction.
Scope: All new and remodel construction of commercial, industrial and residential dwellings within the City of Tulsa and surrounding areas.
Mission: To make Tulsa citizens, business, and government entities aware of the need for disaster preparation.
